APPLICATIONS

Insulin secretagogues and GLP-1 and GIP incretins regulate blood glucose by potentiating pancreatic insulin secretion. They now represent a treatment of reference for patients with type 2 diabetes.

EndoC-βH5® insulin secretion assays recapitulate blood glucose management in vitro taking advantages of two complementary readouts dedicated to drug screening campaigns. cAMP represents a rapid and cost-effective readout for fast drug ranking compatible with a 96 and 384 well plate for high troughput screening. Glucose Stimulated Insulin Secretion (GSIS) potentiation assay represents a more physiologically relevant golden standard for evaluation of your candidate on the insulin secretion function.

Both assays are compatible for acute and chronic treatment with a proven stability of the insulin secretion function of EndoC-βH5® cells for at least 4 weeks.
